That's awesome man. I was there too. But I was on the second dance floor, I had no luck in meeting Mike... Maybe next time.

Well, I also went to this show last night. Towards the end of the show, Mike's wife Christine Marie was taking pix and I was up in the front. So, she stayed in the area in between the divider and the stage until it ended. So, when it finished I said to Christine "Excuse, can you do me a favor? Can you ask your husband if he got me letter from Friday night?" (See Nov.26 @ The Wiltern for more info) and she was like "Oh, your Richard, that was your letter?. Yeah, he got it!" Right there and then I was like "Fuck Yeah"! Then I asked her if there was a way for me to talk to him or get an autograph. She said "Well, if you wait around the back, he'll be signing stuff" So, after that on my way to the back I spotted Charlie standing in the doorway having a smoke, so I said "Hey yo Charlie, can ya sign this (which was a flyer of an old Social D show @ The House Of Blues) so yeah he was really cool and signed it. Then, I waited awhile and around the back while the crew were loading up the equipment in the Penske truck. Then, around 12:40 Mike came out with his wife and Christine spotted me immdediately and said into Mike's ear "That the guy who wrote the letter", but I don't Mike acknowledged that. So, he started signing and I gave him my flyer; while he signed it I said "I'm the one wrote that letter" he replied back "Aw, thanx man. I keep lil' things like that. I really appreciate that bro. Thank you, I really appreciate that." After that I was like thanx Mike. Then I left.
This experience had a profound impact on me.
I mean Mike's presence right in front of my own two eyes; blew me away! Also, the fact that Christine said my name, when I asked about the letter was like "Man, she knew my name!" It was very overwhelming!
These two Wiltern show were abosolutely astonishing!
Does anybody have the setlist to this show? I'd greatly appreciate it!

sickboyking,
that is a very cool story man. having someone like Mike ness profoundly influencing your life is nothing to be ashamed about. He stands for a lot of things. overcoming addictions, adversity, making something of himself. He is a role model and for you, having something like that happen is very cool. I know how cool that must have felt to know that his wife knew who you were. Makes you feel like you stand out in the crowd hugh? Stay cool brother.

one of the best Venues I ve been there...the floor is a best place to be in....the pit is even better...I kinda see it like this...no matter where you are your still going to see a good view of the band...so I give the Wiltern from a scale of 1 to 10 an 11...lol

How is that Wiltern place anyways? Im going to a show there Dec. 30, whats it like?
hey B2R.....i think you?re making a point with that.....it really becomes obvious on this board (from time to time) that admiration can go too far...i mean thats just my 2 cents but sometimes i?m under the impression we?re not far from backstreet boys alike crying etc.....so slow down folks it?s a punk rock band....and yes i still think it?s legit and possible that mike ness has had an impact on people?s life....sure....but lets not act like 14 year old girls....

I understand that Mike is a role model fer ya, hey we've all seen our lives parallel his at times (at least I can say so) we can all relate somewhat....but like someone said here, he's just a human being as you are.....eats, shits and fucks just the same.
Keep on keepin' on there...but just chill a bit youngin'.
Hey Steve that's nothing, I once knew a girl, let's call her Wendy...she used to send him (Mike) birthday cards when we were in High School...this was 15-18 years ago....I wonder if she still does CREEPY MUCH??
